Da Hong Pao is cultivated within the mineral-rich crevices of rocky cliffs in northern Fujian. This unique "Yancha" (Rock Tea) terroir imparts a distinctive mineral character known as "Yan Yun". Handpicked in 2019, our Qi Dan varietal represents the most authentic lineage of the legendary Big Red Robe trees.

Using a traditional heavy roast, our artisans carefully balanced the bold aromatics of the leaf with the transformative power of charcoal fire. While new Da Hong Pao is vibrant, well-preserved aged vintages are rare gems sought by connoisseurs globally.

The Art of Professional Aging

For six years, this batch has been meticulously curated under Orient Cha’s strict aging protocols. Through controlled humidity, regular ventilation, and multiple rounds of low-temperature re-roasting, we have allowed the "fire" to recede, revealing a texture as smooth as silk and a body that is exceptionally full and rounded.
