The Beauty of Trichomes: "Curly Fuzz" Tea
Locals affectionately call this tea "Juan Mao Mao Cha" (Curly Fuzz Tea). Look closely at our unretouched images: the silvery white hairs (trichomes) coating each leaf are a hallmark of authenticity. These tiny structures are rich in amino acids and aromatic compounds, essential to the tea's signature floral fragrance and complex umami. Their presence is a testament to the immense manual labor required—Bi Luo Chun is one of the few teas that defies machine harvesting.
The Heritage Varietal: Qunti Xiaoye Zhong
Our Classic Spring Harvest is sourced from the traditional Qunti variety—the very same heirloom tea trees officially recognized by the Imperial court centuries ago. While modern clones offer higher yields, the native "Late Tea" provides a deeper, more solid aromatic foundation. Each 500g of dry tea requires tens of thousands of precise hand-pickings, ensuring that only the most tender buds reach your cup.
