Orient Cha: Lapsang Souchong (Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong) Smoky Classic — Discover the world's original black tea. Born in the mist-shrouded peaks of Tongmuguan during the Ming Dynasty, this legendary harvest is the definitive expression of "Smoked Black Tea." Crafted with ancient pinewood firing techniques, it offers a bold, campfire-like aroma balanced by a soul-warming sweetness of dried longan.

A Craft Preserved in Nature

True Lapsang Souchong is increasingly rare. Since Tongmuguan is now a National Nature Reserve, the felling of pine trees is strictly forbidden. To preserve this 400-year-old tradition, our tea masters must hand-collect scattered, fallen pinewood from deep within the forest. This sustainable labor of love ensures each batch carries the authentic, clean pine-smoke character that defines the original Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong.

Multi-Altitude Depth

Our tea garden stretches along a narrow mountain corridor ranging from 800 to 1,200 meters. By blending leaves from across these different elevations, we achieve a complex aromatic foundation. The lower altitudes provide a bold body, while the higher elevations contribute a refined, crisp sweetness, creating a perfectly balanced daily classic.

Sensory Profile

  • Aroma: Intense, clean smoke with undertones of toasted resin and forest floor.
  • Palate: Surprisingly sweet. The initial smoky impact transitions into a rich, lingering flavor of dried longan fruit.
  • Liquor: A brilliant amber-orange that glows in the cup.
